I don’t care much for driving; in fact, for this reason, I have never bothered getting a driver’s license and instead am privileged to have my very own dedicated chauffeur. Yet, inexplicably, certain automobiles have somehow captured my imagination. And, above all else, the Mini brand has achieved the impossible by reserving a particular place in my heart as the only suite of cars that I genuinely and enthusiastically long to take around for a spin.
Enter the Mini Cooper Savile Row and I have half a mind to secure myself an order-today-recieve-tomorrow driver’s license (whatever the legal ramifications).
In 2010 Mini debut the limited edition Mini Cooper Savile Row, saluting the great tailors and fashion emporiums of the historic luxury shopping quarter Saville Row, London, that still continues to define the style of men and women worldwide.
As stylish and iconic as it’s namesake, the Mini Cooper Savile Row is striking and refined in metallic black and lusty chrome finishes. It is such a shame, however, that this edition of Mini Cooper was made available only to 100 elite clients in Japan.
I have only one thing to say to Mini and the lucky Japs: “I am green with envy.”
